## What Harkable does

Harkable is a document-to-audio conversion tool. Users upload a PDF or Word document (or paste text), choose a voice, and receive a downloadable MP3 file. The audio is generated using OpenAI TTS voices and stored in the user's library for 7 days. There is no playback-only mode — users own the MP3.

Harkable is not a read-aloud browser extension. It is not a subscription audiobook service. It is a conversion tool for documents you already have.

## Voices

OpenAI TTS voices available: Alloy, Ash, Coral, Echo, Fable, Nova, Onyx, Sage, Shimmer. Two quality tiers: standard (tts-1) and high quality (tts-1-hd).
