Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Harkable (harkable.app) collects, how we use it, and your rights. We are Spicy Rock Labs LLC, based in Waukee, Iowa. We collect only what we need and nothing more.

What We Collect

• Email address, when you create an account
• Usage events, pages visited, features used, actions taken within the app
• IP address, logged with usage events for security and abuse prevention
• Country/region, derived from IP for analytics and compliance
• Browser user agent, to understand how our product is accessed
• Referral source, how you found Harkable

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not store the text content of your documents. When you upload a document, it is passed to our text-to-speech processor to generate audio and then discarded. We do not read, index, store, or train on the content of your uploads.

How We Use Your Data

• Provide and operate the Service
• Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
• Improve the product
• Send transactional emails (receipts, account notifications, password resets)

We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Processors

• Supabase, Database and user authentication (United States)
• OpenAI, Text-to-speech audio generation (United States)
• Stripe, Payment processing (United States)
• Resend, Transactional email delivery (United States)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Email us at support@harkable.app to exercise any of these rights.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
