Support

Harkable is pay-as-you-go. You buy a credit pack ($5, $10, $20, or $50) and credits are deducted per character at conversion time. Longer documents get cheaper per character. Credits never expire.

Every signed-in account gets 2 free MP3 conversions every calendar month. They reset on the 1st of each month. Free MP3s have a per-document length cap; longer documents fall through to credits.

PDF (.pdf), Microsoft Word (.docx), and pasted plain text. EPUB support is on the roadmap. Scanned PDFs without an embedded text layer are not supported yet.

Generated MP3s are stored in your account library for 7 days during the open beta so you can re-download them across devices. After 7 days the file is purged from our storage — always download a copy you want to keep. Source documents and pasted text are never persisted beyond the duration of the conversion job.

Yes — if a generation fails on our end the credits are refunded automatically. For other refund requests during the beta, email support@harkable.app with the subject 'Harkable Support Request' and we'll sort it out.

9 natural OpenAI voices (Alloy, Ash, Coral, Echo, Fable, Onyx, Nova, Sage, Shimmer). Preview each one before you commit on the Convert page or in Settings.

There is no hard page cap. A 200-page book costs about $20 on the standard quality tier. The Convert page shows the live price estimate before you generate, so you'll never be surprised.

Optional. Reader ($19/mo) and Scholar ($39/mo) bundle monthly credits at a discount for power users. Pay-as-you-go is always available and is the default.
